Hi. I'm Pakhi!
I'm a biodiversity conservation and policy specialist with expertise in integrated landscape conservation and ecological connectivity. My work bridges science, policy, and practice through strategic research, human-wildlife coexistence, and conservation communications.

Over the past six years, I’ve connected diverse stakeholders—youth, communities, NGOs, businesses, and government entities—around shared conservation and climate goals. My experience spans policy research, conservation strategy, and high-level networking to drive impactful collaborations. I’ve led projects across government, multilateral, and private sectors in forest conservation, climate mitigation, and sustainable land use, ensuring alignment with frameworks like the UN Convention on Biological Diversity and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Currently, I’m working on projects that address business impacts on biodiversity, human-wildlife coexistence, and advancing India’s National Biodiversity Strategic Action Plans under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. While pursuing a second master’s in Conservation Leadership, I’m also a candidate in the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s political fellowship, gaining valuable insights into policy-making and engagement strategies.
Basically Wild is a conservation oriented consultancy born out of my deep love for all things wild. This is where I bring together my expertise in wildlife conservation, policy, and strategy, and where I showcase my work, from ongoing projects and collaborations to insights from my academic research and blog posts.
